Media Interviews and Escort

All media must request permission from the Media Contact before conducting interviews or taking photographs or video of staff, patients or visitors at any Chambers Health facility/property.

All media must also arrange for a public relations escort while on Chambers Healt property to protect the privacy of our patients.

When filming/photographing/interviewing patients, a consent from signed by the patient (or his/her legal representative) must be completed and signed before the interview, filming or photography takes place.

Health systems are responsible for protecting the privacy and confidentiality of patients’ information. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) regulates privacy standards for health care information.  HIPAA regulations specify the purposes for which information may and may not be released with authorization from the patient.  In most cases. Chambers Health will release a condition report:  undetermined, good, fair, serious, critical or deceased.  Media queries must specifically identify the patient by first and last name.
